Immediately after earthquake devastated the Yogyakarta area of Indonesia PT. Sumiati began a relief effort. We received many donations from our Customers and donated our own funds for a total amount of U.S$ 13,388.80. We sent a team to Yogyakarta to distribute these funds as best we could to our suppliers who were affected by this natural disaster. PT. Sumiati staff met with suppliers and learned from them what was needed most urgently. Following is what we achieved with these funds and some photos.

Immediately after earthquake we sent a truck loaded with immediate aid such as rice, noodles, water, etc. We also went to hospital tents and gave funds to the most needy who had no help from family. |

After meeting with our suppliers affected by this tragedy we found the most urgent items we could help with was giving their children shoes, school bags, writing books, pencil and pens. |

In our suppliers areas many schools were damaged. We helped by making funds available for getting schools up and running again as fast as possible. These funds were used for purchasing building materials, blackboards, books, etc. |
