We would like to share with you an award we were recently given by the Government of Indonesia. Directress went to Jakarta to receive award from President of Indonesia, Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudoyono. PT Sumiati will continue to make every effort to improve our commitment to Fair Trade. We have included some photos at award ceremony in Korem 163 Wira Satya Hall, Denpasar - Bali and in Sasono Langen Budhoyo Hall and Sasono Adhiguma Hall, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah - Jakarta.

Award: Best Company in Bali in Treatment of Female Work Force

The Assessment of the award are:

1. Work Force (Labor) : almost 75% workers in PT. Sumiati are women.
2. Women Labors Rights : There are no discrimination towards women, there is equal rights between women and men.
3. Annual Leave & Health Service: get 12 days paid annual leave, paid maternity leave for 3 months, free medical treatment in company clinic including free hospitalization benefits with Sanglah Hospital in Bali.
4. Jamsostek : 98% employees are had Jamsostek (Government pension and insurance plan).
5. Working condition& Safety : there are Health and Safety Environment facilities in every section, seminars on  Healthy & Safety issues(ie HIV awareness campaign), the usage of Protective Personal Equipment for every employee where necessary.
6. Work Force Union : good communication between Work Force Union and the company.
7. Information about Work Force, salary, training, employee skill, etc are complete. Info on company's document are clear and available.
8. It was checked by The Assessment Team: Dinas Tenaga Kerja(Workers Department), PT. Jamsostek (Government Pension Plan), Work Force Union Team. They also checked the report of the sale each year, report of production each year, and report on export each year.
